Portfolio for Non-Flash Viewers

You came to this page because the site detected that you either did not have Flash installed, had Flash disabled, or had an older version of Flash than that required by the animation. (Or because you just wanted to see the non-Flash alternative, or because I haven't gotten around to doing the animated version yet.) Providing secondary content for viewers that do not have Flash available (which includes most handhelds) is a very important and often overlooked part of using Flash within websites.

Christian Cameos Complete renovation has been completed. I did their first site more than 10 years ago. I'm excited to have had the chance to install new shopping cart software, re-work the navigation, and bring the look and feel up to date. Features an animation on the home page, and links to YouTube video.
Jefferson Market and Cakery A beautiful site designed by another developer, I have begun tweaking to improve search engine ranking, improving a few pictures, ... Initially ranked below #200 in google search on primary and secondary search phrases, now ranks #5 for Primary and #7 for Secondary.

Isle Chem This site is currently being redeveloped by me. The new material has not yet gone live, so keep watching.
Catering by JZ Development beginning on the site for a Catering Services Company in Western North Carolina. Will use Standards Compliant CSS and HTML, Javascript with much functionality coming from open source library JQuery, perhaps some Flash animation and Ajax.
The Drowsy Parrot Development Beginning -- Long time downtown Saline icon has chosen me to create a site for them. The picture rotator on the home page will be AJAX-driven so that pictures can be easily changed or added to without requiring any site programming changes. It will initially be an identity/information site, and will phase into online shopping in the near future.
Pervis Jackson Jr. Austism Foundation Development Nearing Completion -- The widow of the late "Spinners" singer has started a foundation to assist needy parents of autistic children. This site includes information, bot-protected forms, a shopping cart to allow online purchase of procts and online donations, and a blog site.
BNI - Ann Arbor Referral Source Chapter Development Completed - This project was done entirely within the confines of the open source product JOOMLA. It contains public areas as well as areas open only to members of the group. Each member has control over the content within his/her section.
Africa Equip Ministry International Development has been on hold waiting for content from customer, now begginning again, June 2010. This is my first offshore project -- This project is redeveloping the site presently at www.aeminternational.org into a site that accurately portrays the heart behind this important ministry. It will feature a user updatable area using JOOMLA content management software that will allow the group to update the current stories (pictures, articles and video) from their base in Kenya. Website owners are currently in Kenya accumulating content.
Gainsley Electric, Inc Renovation Complete -- This has been redesigned, focusing on updated graphics and an updated usage plan, using CSS and a simplified navigation structure. Redesign resulted in an advancement of 50 positions in search engine ranking for the most important key words.
Never Blackout -- Generators Renovation in Process-- This is being redesigned, focusing on updated graphics and video.
CC Shumake Ministries Development Continuing -- This is a new basic identification site. Created using Wordpress.
Deborah Burch - Author Completely Renovated -- This site has moved from an information-only site to an online shopping environment. It is now live and includes some animation in addition to the shopping cart.
karateisgoodforyou.com A Completed Site -- After doing the initial development of Phase 1,  I trained the owners in basic HTML and the use of Microsoft FrontPage. They have done all subsequent development themselves. We now host all of their websites.
rocksolidkids.com A Completed Site -- I assisted the owners in developing Phase I, including researching online newsletter delivery options, it was turned over to them for all further phases. We now host all of their websites.
